Know Your Worth

We are working with service users, carers, practitioners and commissoners to help them get the best out of the consultation process. Using the lived experience approach, we aim to create equity between lived, learned and praticed experience.

PARTNERING WITH: The Nothern Health and Social Care Trust
FUNDED BY: The National Lottery Community Fund
GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: The Northern Trust Region
TIME PERIOD: 2021-2023

PARTICIPANT GROUP: Patients, Carers, Practitioners & Commissioners
MAIN BARRIERS: Developing and experiencing mental health services

PROJECT IMPACT: The Hummingbird Know Your Worth project aims to address the “us and them” culture by bringing together lived experience experts with the professionals who commission and deliver mental health services.
We will work together throughout 2022/23 within an authentic collaboration, to create a “We Culture” and to effect real, meaningful change. We want to help our health trust practitioners and commissioners to better shape things for the future. Put simply, lived experience of services (good or not so good) and growing resilience are the most valuable assets when services are being designed. How experts choose to share this expertise can have a significant and enduring impact on themselves and on others.

WHAT WE ARE DELIVERING: An entirely bespoke programme that  encourages participants to share all experience for good by focusing on positive solutions
