Know Your Worth – a lived experience project
The Know Your Worth project is a unique opportunity to take a fresh look at the role of lived experience in assisting the development of mental health services in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. It is developed and delivered (independently of the Trust) by The Hummingbird Project and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
If you, or anyone you know has been involved in service user consultation in the past, you may have mixed feelings about feeling heard, understood and the impact it had to improve services. It may have felt a bit like shouting in the wind!
Join us. Use your lived experience for good
Lived Experience (LEx) can be a uniquely powerful tool for positive change. Due to its deeply personal nature, LEx experts (YOU!) are passionate about their experiences of services and have the knowledge of how they work. Real change and innovation needs lived, practiced and professional experiences to come together focusing on good change. Everyone needs to be respected and valued in that space and your voice counts.
This project aims to create a new service user consultation process where everyone understands each other better, collaborate to unlock solutions that are realistic, impactful and accountable.
If you would like to be a participant, please note the following:
1. You will be able to commit 3-4 days to paticipate in up to 4 fun and engaging workshops
2. You can respect opposing perspectives and what to learn why this happens
3. You have a genuine desire to see service improvements even if you’re not sure what they are yet
